Hi everybody, I just wanted to tell you about last sunday. We went to all Afrian American wards. It had been raining all morning. The attendance goes way down when it rains because alot of the people have to walk 45 minutes to the church. They don't have cars. The bishops are both very young
one is 24 and the other one a few years older. The church is really growing here. The only white people were the senior missionaries and the young elders which only two of them are white. The Bishop came up to Elder Van Sickle and I and asked us if we would bear our testimonies. By the way. we don't get general conference for two more weeks. It was fast sunday here. I hadn't planned on this so I was scared. I said a prayer and felt at peace. We heard alot of testimonies. Everyone is so humble especially the bishops. We shook so many hands. There names members and
missionaries are so hard to pronounce. One Elder from Madagascar last name was 20 letters long and that was just his last name. I also met a Elder whoes last name was Rigby. I said Elder Rigby I bet your from Idaho. He said I'm from Rexburg Idaho.( luckly guess huh)
The church was really cold except for the chapel was heated. All the doors and windows had bars on them to keep people form stealing. The library
is in a vault.
Elder Van Sickle got really sick last night by morning
his pain in his head had increased and in his ears. So I called Elder Lapray and Elder Taylor to
give him a blessing. He is doing better tonight.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BEAU AND LYNDSEY. I better sign off before I lose this letter on the computor too. I just think emailing is overrated.
Love you all Elder and Sister Van Sickle
